THE SACRARIUM STORY

Hundreds of years ago, in the Cartanica region of the Kingdom of Eurisia, the St. Augustine Catacombs were built. Originally built as a religious burial ground, the remote location allowed it to be subverted for other purposes. For you see, the great King Bernard XVI used the crypt as a home for those he wanted forgotten. Those sent there would surely die. Upon his death, he asked to be buried in its deepest depths, in a hidden tomb.

Now in the year 2005, four adventurers gain access to the location in search of the treasures that lie within. However, their curiosity is about to earn them an intimate tour of hell on earth. Always willing to risk diving into the caves and crevices no other person would, the true secrets of the crypt will be revealed to them, and the clues will lead to a reality that is equal parts mysterious, horrifying, and otherworldly.

Sacrarium: Intima is a role-playing game in the vein of Dragon Quest, Shadow Hearts, and Final Fantasy. You control the actions of the four characters as they uncover the mysteries of the St. Augustine Catacombs. In their quest for treasure, they have almost complete freedom to wander. They will frequently come across hideous monsters, and they will leave interesting and powerful items that will help them on their adventure.
